How to cancel
Cancel through:
- Your subscription portal, linked in every DealStringer receipt and billing email
- Email, desk@dealstringer.com from the email address associated with your account
If you cannot locate the portal link, email desk@dealstringer.com from your account address and we will process the cancellation within one business day.
Effect of cancellation
Cancellation stops future renewals. You will continue receiving The File and retain account access through the end of your current paid billing period:
- Monthly subscriptions remain active through the end of the current monthly cycle
- Annual subscriptions remain active through the end of the current annual cycle
After the paid term ends, access terminates and no additional charges occur unless you re-subscribe.
Refund policy
Standard Refunds. Except as required by law or expressly provided below, DealStringer does not provide prorated or partial refunds for unused subscription periods.
Pro-Rata Refunds. We provide pro-rata refunds in the following cases:
- We terminate your subscription without cause (see Terms of Service Section 10)
- We discontinue the Service before the end of your paid term
- You decline a material change to the Terms before its effective date (see Terms of Service Section 13)
- Verified billing errors
Service Credits. If we suspend regular delivery for more than five consecutive business days during a paid term for reasons within our reasonable control, you may request a pro-rata service credit by contacting desk@dealstringer.com within 30 days.
Mandatory Consumer Protections. Subscribers in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer refund laws retain all rights available under those laws regardless of this policy.
Data handling after cancellation
Within 30 days after subscription termination, we delete:
- Your subscriber Brief
- Your preferences and saved settings
- Your historical File data (except aggregated, de-identified analytics)
We retain (subject to the Privacy Policy):
- Billing and tax records (7 years)
- Security logs (up to 12 months)
- Information required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
We do not sell subscriber Briefs or use them to enrich another subscriber's File.
Returning subscribers
You may re-subscribe at any time through the pricing page. Deleted preferences and Brief data may not be recoverable after the retention window expires; you may need to re-complete onboarding.
